When it rains it pours!

Brandon and I had gotten ourselves to a place that just seemed right. Not only is our marriage the strongest it has ever been but the kids are all doing great and we even got ourselves out of the crazy credit card debit and actually had a savings. Then it started raining! Our TV broke, family flew out to visit and they raised the fees for everything, gas is ridiculous, and school is just trying to mess with my head. They put me on academic probation (even though I pulled a 4.0 last semester) and said if I drop any of this semester classes I'll lose my financial aid, so my teacher goes ahead and does NOT put in the order for the book and we have to buy it out in town and that cost me $104. Just my luck once it finally gets in at school watch it only be $60 bucks or so. I don't think that I will even look because it will set me off.

Thankfully we have great family and friends that allow me to vent and bail us out. I want y'all to know that I would lose it if I didn't have y'all, so thank you for being there for us no matter what!

Gas price!

How crazy is it how much gas is these days? Here in San Diego it's an average of $4.43! It's crazy when I can tell a story of back in my day! But I can at the ripe age of 27, 9 years ago when I moved to Texas gas was 80 cents a gallon! Here is how I feel about the gas companies!

On a lighter note, today I spent over 5 hours talking to Milie on my cell phone, could you even imagine what that would have cost if one of us was over our minutes. Thankfully we both have AT&T so it was completely FREE!

Prizes from jog-a-thon

Ethan did an awesome job at the jog-a-thon and pulled in the most money! They sent a sheet home with the prizes he would win at each level, but in the end they did things different this year (so why they even sent that sheet is the question over here at our house) They took those who brought in most money and had a drawing. Luckily for Ethan he won the drawing; which was a gift card for a new bike. I had told him that he was going to win all these prizes and they sent him home with a brown bag with some coupons in it as the prize. I was a bit upset cause I would have to make up the difference, but then he came home with the drawing winning and that made up for it. Lesson learned, they only say they are going to give all these prizes to get your money and then give the poor little childern COUPONS!

This is the free shirt he got for running

I asked him how he felt about how he did...

Look Mom, no hands!

I'm not sure about this one...

I asked him to smile and this is what I got!

A little better
