Exhausted

We've been kinda busy lately and I think it caught up with the boys. They wanted to "go swimming" in the tub and after drenching the walls and ceiling with water they finally got out to come down stairs and wait for me to get them dressed. Have you in mind they are well capable of doing this task themselves, but needed to be babied so I told them to wait on the couch until I finished my phone conversation. I mean how could I possibly hang up an adult conversation, something that is completely lacking in my life at this time! Finally Milie and I wrapped it up and this is what I find.

The same thing for Ethan but he managed to put on his pj's, just every time I took his picture, bless his little heart, he would cough and look as if he was convulsing and I was just taking pictures of him. So in the respect of my mother-hooding (is that even a word?) I'm not posting his pictures because if he was convulsing I would help him and not take pictures. Back to Gavin, I didn't have the heart to wake him and get him dressed so I covered him up and left him on the couch with Ethan. About 2am he comes upstairs and says, "I'm naked" in the funniest tone as if why would I dare let him sleep undressed. I ended laughing; which caused me to cough, and 20 minutes later after coughing up a lung I finally caught my breath and was able to breath. I guess that is what I get for not getting him dress, but he looked so peaceful.

Today!

After everything that has been happening here, today was one of the most peaceful days that I've had in a long time. I woke up to hearing the most awful sound in my head, but I wasn't letting that ruin my day! I started my day off with some homework- trying to get ahead of the game, then had a phone conversation with Milie to where she talked about her dogs bowel movements and it's texture. Maybe this is where my day started to be good, everyone needs a good laugh every once in awhile about poop. Then off to met Angie to head over to Admiral Baker to pick a location and pay the deposit. Even though Angie had me sign my life away on the contact (good old Navy wont let any loop holes slip by) Again wasn't letting that ruin my day. Gavin and I went and had lunch and we had a pretty good talk about his attitude (I know a good talk with a 4 year old, but I think he fully understands) He ended up turning out to having an awesome day as well! Then we picked up Ethan and ran some errands and now I'm home and writing this to thank those who have contributed to me having an excellent day! I needed it and very much appreciate it. Now if anyone wants to talk Big Brother please call becasue I'm needing to vent my feelings on these flakes on the show this year! Hope y'all had a day at least half as good as mine! :)

The 3rd/ Dr. appt./ Tiny tots

I should had known that it was coming because this morning I get a text from Angie saying, “Hey drive careful today to your Dr. appt. the roads are nasty and people are being stupid.” The third has come and I’m taking it so Ms. Universe can get off her rag and leave me alone! I get on the 805 and a gust of wind (I’m amusing) blew harder than expected and caused me to sway a bit. Nothing major, but this happened where you turn off onto the 8. When we first moved back here some clucker (God forgive me for calling him names) tried to out run a cop on his motorcycle and ended up taking the corner to fast and going over the rail falling to his death with his girl on the back. They both died (hence asking for forgiveness for name calling) but come on! There is a time and place to speed off from a cop and a 50+ foot winding bridge isn’t the place. Back to me (cause that’s what it’s all about) had a tad bit of my heart sink to my stomach, but I regained control and slowed down to about 45mph and took the ramp under control. People started honking and I just gave them the finger and kept on with myself. Shoot I’m not dying for anyone; especially someone being rude. Moral of the story I had my 3 and my bad juju should be over with!

After all that drama I finally make it to my ultrasound and get called back right away. I’m thinking this is going to be quick and I’ll finally get some answers and will turn my day around. I guess when Ms. Universe wants to mess with you it’s an all day thing. The tech was nice, but SLOW! About an hour into it she says (after I had already told her I had my gall bladder removed) that she can’t find it. I then again tell her that I had it removed and 15 minutes later she tells me she can’t find where it should have been, huh? She lost me there and said that she has to go get her supervisor. Supervisor Cindy comes in and is when serious and to the point. She does her thing for about 10 minutes and then I get the awful, “ohh” sound out of her. She says she has to get the doctor and then I’ll be able to leave after that. The doctor comes in and for a good 30 minutes tells me to stop breathing and takes recording of the sounds from my liver, kidneys, pancreas, and God knows what else. After all that I ask okay can I FINALLY have some answers on what’s going on. No! He tells me basically that I have a dense and over sized liver (already knew that) so back to the original plan on March 4th I better have some answers!

While leaving the ultrasound I realized that it took almost 2 hours! And that means I have 7 minutes to drive from Balboa to Tiny tots. Speeding can be done, reality shouldn’t be done! I take the exit to 163 and it’s at a stop! By this time I already have Milie on the phone hoping that she can find the number to tiny tots, but good old navy has to be confusing and I figure I will just call housing since they basically share a build (tiny tots has the same address expect it ends with ½) I call them and tell them I’m going to be late and while I finally get them on the phone I see the accident that stopped traffic. Now I’m not feeling as guilty because it was completely out of my control. I finally make it there 15 minutes late and she says, “I’m going to have to charge you because you’re late.” I tell her it was because of an accident and she tells me that I needed to have someone else pick him up then. Well since the hubby is deployed and everyone else lives in BFE (not really, but for this situation I say so) what was I going to do. I say fine and she says it will be $20 f-ing dollars! I did the face of what did you just say, because it only cost me $36 a month and now you are trying to charge me $20 bucks because of an accident! I’m officially over today and can’t wait for a new day that is nice and peaceful, but first I have to go clean my house so everyone will think that I actually live a clean, organized life while in the real world it is far from that!

Waiting for strike 3!

Today when I went to pick up Ethan from school a UPS truck didn't stop at the corner and almost side swiped me! I was able to turn out of his way and we both came to a stop within a few inches of eachother. He puts his hand over his heart and kept saying sorry and all I could do was laugh! I instantly thought that bad luck comes in threes and thinking if I am going to get into a wreck I wish this was the one because I know that the UPS dude has insurance and Ethan wasn't in the car. Now it's a game of hurry up and wait to see if the third one is coming! Pray for me!

Who do you think would have won?

The beast VS. Brown

Madness

Yesterday I was driving to the commissary and when I turned onto the on-ramp I spun out which caused me to sway side to side. While I was trying to regain control of the beast I hit some water; which spun us into circles and I ended up the wrong way on the freeway, actually on the road where it merges into the freeway.

As soon as we came to a stop I could hear a hissing sound, so I got out to see where it was coming from and I could see a rock in the tire at the rim causing it to loose air. While I'm out of the car checking things out Ethan freaks out and jumps out of his car seat and into the drivers seat and puts the beast into gear and they start rolling onto the freeway. I have to jump in and hit the breaks and I start freaking out because I realized I'm faced the wrong way and everyone is just passing by me at the speed of light (or so it seemed)

I call 911 and they tell me that since nobody is injured that we are not a priority and someone would be by when they can, but to get a tow truck out asap. Thanks! Oh and to make that even better, you would think that when you call 911 you would be connected to a dispatcher right away, NO! It said push any button if this is a life threatening emergency or hold for the next available operator, WTF is that about? Do people really just call to complain and b/s with the dispatchers, I mean for real come on! I know that nobody was hurt or bleeding, but I was the wrong way on the freeway and we all know how crazy Californians drive! Plus nobody stopped to even see if they could help (1 did later, but I get into that when I get to that part)

So now I'm sitting in the beast trying to clam Ethan down, while Gavin calmly says that was kinda scary! Frick and Frack, hot and cold, they are complete opposites on some things. :) So I call housing because we get free roadside assistance if it is within 5 miles of housing, He then tells me that I have to have some card on me for it to be free, so I have to tell him to get bent and I call insurance. This is where the anger starts to really set in, the damn automatize lady comes on and says push or say one if you want this, push or say two if you want that. I can't even concentrate and I keep having to hang up because the computer voice is picking up Ethan crying and says I didn't understand you, could you please repeat. Finally when I think I get connected to the right person a patrol man shows up so I hang up and he just asks for my keys and by this time the tire that is leaking air is almost down to the rim, but he drives it anyways and turns it around so I'm facing in the right direction. Oh because he shows up finally people start slowing down and act as if they care. He tells me to stay in my vehicle with my seat belt on and wait for the tow truck ; which is coming he asks. Well of course I got through to my insurance, they wouldn't dare have some dumb ass automatize system that would delay those in need!

He leaves and I have to start the process of calling insurance back and dealing with that b/s. Finally I get connected to roadside assistance and they tell me that a tow truck will be out in 45 minutes and that I will need someone to come pick up the boys because they can't ride in the tow truck (thank God they said this because he was a skeet)

I call Milie and bless her heart, I couldn't even begin to tell her how to get to where I was because I didn't know what on-ramp I had taken. So Cristin came and picked up the boys and saved the day for me, or at least Ethan. He needed out of there because he was having some kind of break down and thought he was going to die right there! While Cristin was there finally someone stopped to see if he could help and by that time I already had the tow truck on the way, so I thanked him for the offer and said we had it under control. Oh just an FYI at least 7 other tow trucks passed me, along with a firetruck and a policeman and do you think they stopped, NO! Thanks for nothing!

Cristin leaves with the boys and while I'm waiting for the tow, I call Milie and we decided that this was time for me to reflect on why in the hell was I driving 15 minutes to the commissary to save maybe 20 cents on some damn toilet paper that I could have just gotten at the mini mart on the same road that I live on! After talking with her for almost 30 minutes finally the tow truck driver shows up. This flaming idiot tries unsuccessfully to hook up the beast and decides to actually try in the road. Now don't forget we are in California where the minimum is 90 mph (or so they think) and he just drives into the freeway where they merge and just waves cars out of his way. IDIOT is putting it nicely. I decided I don't want to die today and climb up the embankment to stay clear of his flying body when he gets hit by a car.

I'm starting to think why in the hell is he trying to do this in the actually road because at this point I no longer have a tire it is completely down to the rim. He ask me for my keys and I don't really want to give them to him but I do and he processed to drive my beast onto the road to line up with his truck and you can hear the awful sound of metal and pavement, a sound that should never be heard especially coming from my beast! I'm thinking this dumb ass is not only trying to commit suicide, but he is jacking up my rim and is going to cost me more money!

He finally gets it hooked up tells me to get in, and I try to quickly think of a way out of getting into his truck, but decided I don't want to be left alone on the side of the freeway. He then processed to tell me that he doesn't want to take me to the auto shop that insurance wanted me to go and that I should just go to discount tires or something like that. I'm thinking why didn't he just help me replace the tire with the spare then. Anyways, he takes me around the corner to the express tire and they put air in it and say I'm good to go. After asking if they were sure, the manager could tell that I was feeling a bit of unease with it all and said he would have his guy take the tire off to make sure and clean it off. I felt better till he called me in and said that I might have to buy a new tire and it would be $292.92 ! After Jeremy's wreck, I learned to never buy just one new tire, I was thinking damn there goes a chunk of savings! But thank God I didn't have to replace anything and even the rim made it!

I went to Cristin's to pick up the boys and I think Ethan is the only one permanently scarred because when we got into the beast to drive home, he had to check out the tires first and he all shaky voice and all said, "I don't want any more flat tires." :)

Girl talk

After church we drove out to Chula Vista to meet the girls at Outback for Milie’s birthday dinner. It was surprisingly good; which most of you would think I was crazy for thinking BUT the last time I went to Outback was in Hawaii on a double date with Brian and Krissy and whatever Brain had almost turned me into a vegetarian! I haven’t been back since and now I love it! It was fun watching Milie get a bit tipsy, but the greatest part of my night was afterwards we went to Angie’s and all sat on her bed while we watch the girls try on their sub ball dresses and then sit and have girl talk! Oh how I miss girl talk! And I mean the true sit down and just b/s with each other about life and what we want to do in the coming weeks. No drama, no gossip just good, clean, fun girl talk! I wish I had a picture of it because knowing how crazy busy our lives are who knows when we’ll get a chance to do it again. I mean it took from dinner till almost the time we finally left for us to decide on a time that we would all be able get together for massages! But thank heaven we picked a date and I can’t wait! I have missed getting nightly massages from Brandon. I know that the spa isn’t the same, but it will do! We also picked up on family Sunday dinner, since we are our own military family I thought it would be nice to have Sunday dinner and since I don’t cook as much as I would like I thought I would pick up a few recipes from the gals. I can’t wait for next month when they come over for a home cooked meal that any of them could out do. At least you know you got true friends when they are willing to over go their perfectly cooked meals to come eat my wanna be “family dinner.” The question is do I play it safe the first dinner and cook baked ziti or try out something new that looks good? Huh, I’ll let you know how it turns out!

Bonfire & Chicken feet

I haven’t been posting as much as I would like due to being back in school. Sorry! But we finally made it to an outing last night, we went to a bonfire with all the military members of our ward. It was actually fun even though it was cold. Every time the little ones would get close to the fire the men knew it was time to add more logs to warm us all up. We roasted hot dogs and everyone brought a side. Someone was amazing and brought bread stick from Pat Oscars, don’t know if any of you have had these bread stick, but they are the best. Olive Garden has nothing on them! We also roasted marshmallows and had hot chocolate while we shared our testimonies. I didn’t think that we would make it long, but we didn’t even leave the beach till 10pm! It was a great night and I’m really glad that we made it.

Tonight we again got out of the house and had game night over at Angie’s. We played chicken feet, first time, but it was fun. Ethan caught on pretty fast and Gavin had a Gavin night. Little attitude, can’t wait for Daddy to come back and see how his mini me has actually become mini Brandon attitude and all! : ) Poor Milie is sick and tomorrow is her birthday (actually today since it’s 1am) and we again are making it out of the house to her birthday dinner at Outback. It’s her 30th and with her being sick and the hubby being deployed, I feel for her cause no woman wants to turn 30 (besides me) and with all that on top of everything. God bless her strength! I love having strong, independent friends who can handle military life. If your reading this Milie, Happy birthday! I hope you have the best 30th possible!

Sorry!

I have been a bad blogger! I’m sorry but nothing new has really happened, just a lot of homework and trying to beat a cold. Most of you know what’s been going on with my health. No new news. They just keep saying that they will let me know at my next appointment. I see the dietitian on Monday and then on the 22nd I have an ultrasound and finally on March 4th I should finally have some answers! I hope and pray that I will finally know what’s going on. So on that note I thought I would share a picture of Hannah’s belly, hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

I think this is where it started...

First let me start off by asking why am I a deep cleaner? Why can't I just pick up my stuff and run a quick vacuum? I have to always reorganize everything and move every piece of furniture and rearrange cupboards! What should only take an hour tops always becomes a 2 day event! Okay enough with that, why I'm posting. I think that I found out where Gavin started cutting, and sadly to say it started in Amya's room. While I was cleaning her room I found these under her bed

Look closer, no doubt it's a headless Ken, but check out the mohawks on the ponies! Poor little fellows :(

I think it's time someone tells my boys to step away from the scissors! You think? Strike one Gavin trying to become a barber, strike two Ethan’s cut out (which I must give him credit for, but it was a tad bit too much for me) strike three the innocent ponies! By the rules of the game they are out! Okay I think we should go back to a happier place…

Aww, look how cute they are!
